Tulips are a symbol of freedom and Canada’s enduring connection to the Netherlands. Each Spring, tulips bloom across Canada in commemoration of the liberation of the Netherlands by Canadian soldiers during the Second World War. 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation.
